I really enjoy making websites - the UI, UX and all the things you don't see behind the scenes (user acquisition, A/B testing, e-mail strategy, etc).
I have always loved technology. I was brought up on computer games from the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga 500, multiple consoles and homemade computers. From gaming I learned how to get drivers working in MS DOS, how to tune memory in MS DOS and Windows, how to get hardware to work with Windows ('Plug and Play' hadn't been conceived back then). Then I started making websites, programming, managing the network and PC's for my dad's company.
From my 'home-baked' start, 6 months into my 3rd year of University (which was at the SAP Centre at Barclays Bank) I was offered a job. So I completed my 4th year of University and continued at Barclays Bank - 6 years in total. Then I furthered my SAP career at Deloitte for 8 years and Capgemini from 2005 to date.
As well as being obsessed with technology, I have always liked to participate in sport - target shooting for 26 years, a member of 3 sponsored Paintball teams, 16 x 6 hour Adventure Races, 2 x Sprint Distance Triathlons, 4 x Half Marathons (fastest time 1:39), plus lots of rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking and other sports.
Then there's cars, photography, family - and of course bacon!
